Today we practiced for the test that we will do on Tuesday 05 of December, the TOEIC. We went to the laboratory, because we had to work in the computer. When Monica, John and I were in quality control course, we complained about the computers and the internet because are not fast. The internet never works. We did not remember how was turn on the computer and wait for fifteen minutes to open explorer, and wait fifteen minutes again because explorer doesn’t want to show a login to have internet access. But well, half hour after 5 pm we could turned on our computers. The teacher send us the link for the TOEIC web page and we did some listening and writing practices.

Listening practices were not difficult, at the first ones I was like nervous I think, so I lost a lot of questions, but then I understood better the sentences. In one of the practices we had to listen something and look a picture and then choose the sentence which described better what happen in the picture. For me was a difficult part, I couldn’t understand a lot of words.

In other part we had to listen a question and choose the correct answer. It was very easy. In the listening test I got a 100, so I think that listen is not too difficult for me, and is not difficult for the rest of the group either. But the grammar is difficult for us. I got a 66 in the writing test and I realized that I really need to practice a lot of grammar. We need to know grammar rules, two and three word verbs, idioms and slangs very well.

I have been practicing with the web site write and improve and I have had grammar mistakes that I don’t understand how to correct. But if we practice more we will get a good grade. That is my idea for the next weeks. Maybe we will practice with Mackenzie for the oral test tomorrow. It could be better if we find some native speaker to speak because is easier to remember the structures that we need to use if we use them in a conversation. Practicing English is tired but is the only way to learn. I hope practice the next days and ask for help if I need It. I have found some web sites too to practice so I hope take advantage of them.
