Today Mackenzie went to the class and did some games to start. First we did a game in which we have to say "I only like people who..." and complete the phrase with some physical characteristic, or something about likes, family, personality, etc. So we were in a circle and someone is in the center, this person have to say the phrase, and when he or she do it, people who have the characteristic is going to change his spot with other.
Then, Mackenzie did other game. We wrote a Wh question in a paper and then we asked a classmate the question. The other person had to answer and ask other question too. We had to interchange the questions and find other person to talk.
My question was "What animal would you like to be if you died and reincarnated and why?" Well, something like that, Mackenzie helped me to write the question. Other people did questions like "How is your ideal hero?", "What is the best beach of Costa Rica?" or "Where do you see yourself in five years?"
After that, some classmates exposed their presentations about Historical Buildings in Costa Rica.
The first one was Andrés, he exposed about the National Theater. I learned that the National Theater was constructed by Costa Rica and France from 1891 to 1897. In this place are the painting called "Alegoría del Café y el Banano", this painting represents the economy of Costa Rica in these years. That picture is very beautiful. The bill of 5 colones had this picture and is consider one of the best bills in the world.
The second one was Kenneth, Kenneth exposed Pacific Railway Station. This construction was created by the architect José Francisco Salazar from 1940 to 1941. An interesting fact was about the trail, they spend 12 hours to go to San José to Puntarenas by trail. I remembered the name of the first trail: María Cecilia.
The third exposition was presented by Hazell. She exposed about Children Museum. This place was an old central penitentiary and was interesting watch the pictures of the people there and the conditions.
Then Marielys exposed Escuela Metallica. I just wrote that the place was constructed in 1896.
And finally Ricardo did the exposition of Durán Sanatorium. All the classmates were scared because of the pictures and the legends of the place. Some people said that they saw ghosts there and they felt a different feeling there too.
