At the beginning of the class a group exposed their role play. The role play was about a bad boss who pay less his employer because she was a woman but he gave her a lot of work. The other coworkers didn't care about that. She complained for the situation, and she told her boss she was pregnant. He fire her so she spoke with some friends about it and two of them recommended her to abort.
Then, we
watched a documental about the tragedy of 9/11/2001. It was a good and
understandable video, maybe a little sad too. We commented the video after that
with a partner.
Mackenzie
came to the class around 6pm and she did a game to cheer us up. The game was
about count from 1 to 10 in group but if two or more people say the same number
we have to start again. We didn't know who is going to say the next number so
it was a little difficult and fun. We did the game with our eyes closed, then
back to back and then against the clock, we had to say the 10 numbers in 10
seconds.
After that
Mackenzie talked about what happened in 9/11. She was 6 years old when that
happened and she told us some experiences. She gave us a popsicle and we had
some questions in the board so we had to ask other friend a question and answer
one of them too. I liked to talk with David because he think that the twin towers
attack was a conspiracy of the government of United States and I think the
same. The powerful nations like United States needs to control of the rest of
the countries but they can't attack them without a reason, they need a excuse
and they found it. We didn't know exactly what the truth is but a war is a good
biz for the governments, so they use to people, the citizens to take their
plans out.
After
that, Mackenzie choose 4 questions to comment in group. The questions was:
1. In your
opinion, are there any lessons to be learned from 9/11?
2. Which
9/11 related changes have had the greatest impact on your life?
3. What is
your opinion on writing fiction or poetry or creating art out if tragedies like
9/11?
4. Costa
Rica not had an army for decades while the military is a central part of United
Stated, what's your opinion?
To finish
the class, I and my group exposed the role play. We did like a chain, Johnson
was my father is gave me a bad treatment so I pass this violence to Nazareth
because she was black, and Nazareth to Hazel because she is gay, Hazel to
Marielys because she is a nerd, Marielys to Kenneth because she is poor and
finally Kenneth to Allan because he is drug dealer. Allan said Kenneth he wants
to die but Kenneth didn't say nothing and Allan did it. We wanted to leave the message
that violence produce more violence, that is not the solution. Instead, if one
of us, no matter who, if just of them broke the chain Allan didn't commit
suicide.
