At the beginning of the class, we listened a song call "Don't look back in anger" by Oasis. This is a good song, I like it and I enjoyed listening during the class. We search the words that we couldn't understand. I search the words "Slip" and "Slides away". I think that I could learn to play this song on guitar.
Then, the teacher gave us a glossary with words about relationships. There are a few words complicated to translate in Spanish. I understood the meaning in English but I didn't know what means in Spanish. For example, the words "infatuated", "rapport" and "spite things up". After to understood all the words, we read a text call "Making Sense of Love and Romantic Relationships".
The text explains four types of love: Passionate, companionate, capacity and willingness. Passionate love is characterized by intense emotions, companionate is the opposite, is characterized by emotional attachment and affection feelings. Capacity is an evaluation of the partner's ability to facilitate individual's goals and needs. Willingness is an evaluation of the partner's motivation to facilitate individual's goals and needs.
The text explains that if your relationship doesn't work, is time to take a decision. Maybe you have to spend more time with your couple, do something exciting or pay more attention to the actual practical exchange between you both.
We commented this text with our group. I was working with Marilyn and Paola. Then, we organized the ideas to expose about relationships. We prepared an exposition with five tips to have a good relationship, top ten of love songs and two different and attractive ways to keep love alive.
We wrote the five tips and we agreed that the tips could be: Trust in the other person, be loyal with him or her, talk and don't discute, listen carefully and with interest the things that the other says and finally, respect the couple.
We wrote almost all the love song that we need:
1. A thousand years, Christina Perry.
2. Thinking out load, Ed Sheeran.
3. I love her, Passenger.
4. Perfect, Ed Sheeran.
5. All of me, John Legend.
6. Something about us, Daft Punk.
7. Love exists, Amy Lee.
8. You are beautiful, James Blunt.
9. Thank you for loving me, Bon Jovi.
10. Well, we didn't have the last one but we thought that whatever song by Adele could be a love song.
