The class started with the presentations to explain all the topics for the test. The teacher choose the groups that were going to expose by random. Andrés choose a number and it was Johnson’s group: David, Kenneth and Johnson. They used a lot of pictures in their presentation, so I remember the words and the meaning because of the pictures. I was closer to David, so I could watch the cellphone of David with the presentation.
Then, Johnson choose a number and it was Andrés’s group. It was fun
because they choose each other. The second presentation was more interesting
than the first one. Jorge, Melvin and Andrés exposed.
They explain better the grammar, the idioms, slangs and two word verbs
because they pronounce better the words, so it was more understandable. It was
funny when Jorge read the number $785,000 because he didn't know how to
pronounce it. He said like "Seven thousand eighty five hundred thousand...”
The last presentation was exposed by John, Heidy and Monica. John had
problems with a number too, like Jorge. John explained the meanings of the words
by himself, he didn't read too much.
After that, we practiced for the oral test. Allan, Nazareth, Marilyn and
I continued the conversation. Then we play cards. Allan did a play with cards,
the play is similar of a game called "Tonto" in Spanish. We had a
card with an idiom and another card had the meaning, so we had to link the
cards. The person who have more couples of cards is the winner. We
realized it that we need to practice a lot because we didn’t know a lot of idioms.
Maybe we had a couple of cards in our deck and we didn’t realize it. We tried
to choose a day of this weekend to meet us and practice for the oral test, but
we couldn’t. We have a lot of things to do but obviously we need to practice.
