I was totally grateful to have been in class. Well, before the class the teacher and some of my classmates were talking about marriage, I don't know why. Then we began the class completing the unit 10. First we completed the exercise 1, and we listened the conversation of the exercise 2.
Then, we learned how to use gerunds and how to do short responses if someone use a sentence with gerunds. After that, we worked in groups, and we talked about how do we feel about different things like working with people, public speaking, and others.
We completed some questions listening to people talk about the job they are looking for. The teacher put the audio many times, It was a little difficult to understand.
We learned some adjectives about personality, for example I learned the words moody and reliable.
The, we read the grammar focus in the page 68, about clauses of time with because.
We watched a interesting video, a Ted talk. First, we just listen the video and tried to understand. Then, we could read it. I liked this video because before to watch it I was talking with Nazareth about physical aspects. She said that she wanted lose weight because she is not very thin, even when she was a child she was a little fat. I think she is ok but some of us have things of our body that we don't like. And after this conversation we watched the video and Nazareth told me "I don't have reasons to feel bad about my body".
The video was about  model, she is beauty but she said that even being a model she felt insecure the whole time because is always thinking about the way she looks. She said that image is powerful but is superficial too. And to explained that, she showed some pictures of herself, pictures of magazines and she was beautiful and perfect in that pictures but she showed other images of the same day, images where she looks natural and there was a big difference. She looks like a normal person, not like a model. So she said that the pictures of the magazines were constructions, were not herself.
Sometimes, most of girls and boys believe that they have to be like the people of the magazines, but they don't know that these pictures are not real. This is a big problem, because physical aspects are not the most important, we could be better than a pretty face.
After to watch the Ted Talk the teacher separated us in two groups. We prepared a dramatization about family situations. I worked with Marielys, Allan, Marilyn, Nazareth, David and Hazell. Our situation was about the typical movies of teengares in United State. Marilyn was Allan's mother and she had a travel work out of the city. So Allan did a party in his house and invited Nazareth, Marielys and David. They had the music too loud, so Hazell was the neighbor complaining and she asked Allan turn down the music but Allan didn't. She called the police, and I was the police... I had to scold Allan and called her mom. At the final, Allan's mom return to the house and instead of stopping the party, she continues the party. That was our argument.
