At the begging of the
class we read our comment about of the book “A walk to remember”. Almost all
the people have read a lot of the book and a few of them are finished. The
majority of the people enjoy it.
Then, we had to put
our cellphones in a box because the teacher said that we need to pay attention
and the cellphones could be a distraction. She was right; a lot of us looked
our cellphones to know the time, to send messages, or even for no reason. After
that, we worked in the unit 9 of the blue book.
We talked about how the entertainment, transportation and communications
have changed from the past to our days. We were agree about the telephone are
the most important development of the past, and social networking are really
important in the present too. Some things that a few years were impossible are
realities right now, for example the self-driven cars.
A development that I
would love to see is the thought-controlled video games. I watched a TV show
about technology and one the chapters was about a video game you can control
with your mind. The video catch your fears and then, during this virtual
reality you have to fight with yours fears transformed in monsters. It was a
good chapter and a development I think is close to be created.
Then, we listened two
conversations which were an example about how to use time contrasts,
After that, we spoke
about different topics and answered the questions how have things changed? And
how will things be different in the future? We talked about education,
entertainment, environment, fashion, food, housing, shopping, sports and
technology. We realized that things have changed too much. We learned how to
use conditional sentences with if clauses too.
After finish the
unit, we watch a TED talk about how we can organize better the time. I liked
some things that she said. For example, the time is elastic because we can
decided how will be used. When we say “I don’t have time” we are actually
saying “It isn’t a priority”. We don’t need a lot of time to do great things;
we can take advantage of the little moments. And she was right, a few months ago
I had a lot of work so I tried to organize my time, I did a schedule and I had
specific times to do something. Now I have more free time but I am always out
of my house. I like to study in my house but I can´t. So I have to take
advantage of every moment. If I really don’t have time to study English, I talk
by myself in English when I am driving motorcycle.
I liked the video and
share with different classmates like Johnson and Anabelle. The class was
entertainment.
