The
topic of the class was two word verbs and we listened a song call "What
lovers do" by Adam Levine. I did not like much the song but I learned a
few a words, for example I learned the meaning of "gate" and an interesting
word was "tryna", well, is not actually a word, it is like a simple
way to say "trying to". I imagined that, but I was not sure.
We got the tests resolves that we did last
week. I realized that I need to improve my grammar and I would need to amplify
my knowledge on the past tense subjects. I need to put them into
practice.
We also completed a couple of units of the
red book. The topic was about how to locate places using the expressions “There
is / is not” and “there are / are not”. We learned prepositions used to give an
address. We worked in pairs and we had to ask to the other person about places
around your neighborhood.
Then,
we focused on the list of two word verbs. We wrote a conversation down adding
fifteen two word verbs. It was really complicated because our group did not had
much imagination to do it. Anyway, I met two guys and Monica and I made some jokes on how familiar they were
with to classmates from another course.
I
enjoyed to meet different people in the course and know about your circumstances
because I realize that there are many of them who travel long distances to be
in this English course. All of us have to do sacrifices so we have to take
advantage of the teacher’s time in order
to put ourselves to the limit.
Also, I
learned a few of two word verbs and my idea is learn all of the verbs that we
have in the document. Actually, I used some of these verbs in my last job and I
did not realize.
The
first class, I felt lose with the material and with the people but I am adapting
to the course. I like to see the oldest people participating a lot in the class.
